Estonia

Tallinn is the capital city of Estonia, located in the North of Europe and one of the Baltic countries, bordering Russia and Latvia. It’s located on the Baltic Sea, with Helsinki, Finland, a 2 hour ferry away. Tallinn is a small charming, medieval city basking in lots of history and is even listed as a UNESCO world heritage site. Tallinn is a very walkable city and most things can be explored in a day or two, making this the perfect weekend/short city break destination.

How to get there

Tallinn is a 3 hour flight away from London and can be easily accessed with regular flights from RyanAir, Air Baltic, Wizzair and Finnair. Other European cities also offer direct flights to Tallinn.

 

You can also use buses to travel between the other Baltic countries of Latvia and Lithuania.

 

There are also many ferries a day that run between Helsinki and Tallinn. The ferry is around 2 hours long and tickets can be booked through Direct Ferries.
